Investing in Our Future
Aarhus Fire’s Support for Local Youth, Sports and Community
At Aarhus Fire, we’ve always believed that our strength lies in our people — not just those who work with us today, but those who are rising through the ranks and shaping the future of fire protection.
That’s why we’re proud to actively support young talent, both within our own team and across our local community.
Apprenticeships That Spark Careers
Right now, we’re training six apprentice technicians at Aarhus Fire, providing hands-on experience and expert guidance from our highly skilled team. Three of these apprentices are now in the final stage of their training and are on track to become fully qualified by October.
To help with their development, we’ve created a dedicated internal training room fitted with real control panels. This hands-on environment allows them to practice real-world fault finding and system operation — giving them a strong foundation in both theory and practice.

We don’t just talk about building the next generation — we invest in it.

Supporting Grassroots Sports and Local Clubs
Outside of fire protection, we’re equally committed to supporting our local community in other ways. We proudly sponsor several grassroots sports teams and community clubs, helping to ensure they continue to thrive:
- Bury FC Under 10s Juniors — We’re delighted to support this talented team of young footballers who are learning the value of teamwork, discipline, and determination.
- Whitefield Bowling Club — A fantastic community club that recently reopened after significant renovation work. We’re proud to support their ongoing success.Read more on their website
- Besses o’ th’ Barn Band — One of the oldest and most iconic brass bands in the world, formed in 1818. Their long history and ongoing dedication to musical excellence is something we’re honoured to stand behind.
- Woodbank Cricket Club — A brilliant local club keeping the spirit of cricket alive in the heart of our community.
A Company Built on People
Since 2003, when our Executive Director Gary Wilcox founded Aarhus Fire, we’ve always focused on more than just business. It’s about building a team, supporting local talent, and giving back to the community that surrounds us.
Whether we’re working on national fire safety projects or sponsoring a junior football team, one thing remains constant: we care deeply about doing things the right way, for the right reasons.
